1200 exhibitors from 70 countries will put their most innovative technological developments at the disposal of the beverage and liquid food industry. Piovan's focus will be on technologies and solutions for recycled plastics: among others, Condenso will be on show, and Vulkano and SoftBoost will be premiered.
PiovanGroup will be present from 12 to 16 September next with the Piovan and Energys brands at Drinktec, the world's largest trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry, driven by four topics: process and packaging sustainability; product design; water management and treatment; digital solutions and digital transformation.
After five years since its last edition, Drinktec 2022 is for PiovanGroup an unmissable opportunity for networking and sharing with a specialised and international audience interested in solutions specifically developed for the use of recycled plastic in the food & beverage sector: all this is in line with the company's focus on sustainability and fits in with an increasingly demanding consumer context.
PiovanGroup will be present at stand 321 - hall C5 with some innovations. Condenso: specially developed for the plastic recycling process, it removes VOCs from the process air during polymer treatment with a unique energy recovery system. Special attention will also be paid to analysis instruments: for the first time at the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to see Vulkano, the new portable instrument designed by Piovan to detect and measure the presence of VOCs in process air. By monitoring the saturation of filters, it allows to maximise their life cycle and verify their effectiveness at any time. As for the on-line measurement of moisture in the plastic granule, Moisture Minder will be present at the exhibition. Completing the range of Piovan analysis instruments, InspectaAc and InspectaBe will also be on display, which are used to detect acetaldehyde and benzene on sheets, bottles, granules and preforms. In particular, InspectaBe was selected as one of the finalists in the Machinery category of the Sustainability Awards 2021 whose aim is to promote sustainable packaging. With reference to supervision systems, visitors will have the opportunity to see both Winfactory 4.0, the production process control and management software developed by Piovan to ensure automatic recipe setting, prevention of human error, production repeatability and product traceability, and Winenergy, the energy efficiency monitoring and analysis system capable of providing customers with a complete analysis of actual consumption.
In addition, at the Otto Systems AG stand (stand 335, hall C5), visitors will be able to see a preview of SoftBoost, the PiovanGroup's new patented air channelling system that heats the granule to the core in just 40 minutes to bring it rapidly from 120 to 180 °C. This innovative hopper, specifically designed for the rapid dehumidification of regenerated PET, reduces heat loss and thermal stress on the resin. Also on the stand will be GenesysNext, the fully automatic drying system that optimises the energy used and reduces waste by continuously tracking injection pressure.
