After a forced hiatus of five years, Plast, the reference event in Italy for the plastics industry, returns to Milan. This year it will take place from 5 to 8 September. The spotlight will be on innovation and opportunities linked to the evolution of production paradigms in a circular perspective, which, together with sustainability and energy saving, represent the key themes of PLAST 2023. PiovanGroup will be present with two stands showcasing a variety of sustainable technological solutions.

Piovan has always paid constant attention to the theme of innovation and sustainability. As Felice Meliti, Chief Commercial Officer of the PiovanGroup, says about sustainability: "In line with our objective to grow sustainably while respecting the environmental values of social equity and governance," Meliti begins, "we are focusing on patented technologies that support the entire supply chain involved in the process of recycling and processing post-consumer plastics, with the aim of accelerating the transition towards a more circular model. In fact, the PiovanGroup holds 279 patents, 14 of which are in the field of circular economy. In practical terms, then, all this translates into the Group's commitment to providing its stakeholders with high-performance, design-oriented solutions that are at the same time able to ensure the highest quality standards while minimising energy consumption."

Given the variety of solutions proposed by the Group, Piovan will be present at Plast with two stands: at stand B71-C72 - hall 24 - with the Piovan, Pelletron, Aquatech and Penta brands and at stand B11 hall 15 with Doteco branded solutions.

At stand B71-C72 visitors will be able to see the complete range of dedusting, feeding, conveying, storage, dehumidification, dosing, temperature control and cooling systems.

More in detail, visitors will be able to see a system in operation equipped with Modula der automatischen Kupplungsstation Easylink+ dem gravimetrischen Chargenmischer Quantum mit Fernmischer und dem zentralen Transportmanagement Easy3+ ausgestattet ist und von Winfactory 4.0, der Überwachungssoftware von Piovan, überwacht wird, die eine maximale Effizienz der Produktionsprozesse gewährleistet.

On display will be the Pelletron branded DeDuster® XP15 dust collector, a series designed for the plastics production and compounding industry, compact in that it is available for unloading capacities from 1,000 to 330,000 lbs/h of all types of granular products that need to be cleaned before packaging, shipping or processing. Due to its low height, the DeDuster® XP Series can be installed on bagging machines or moved under or between storage silos.

On show for the first time in Italy will be Condenso, the fume condenser that minimises energy consumption and emissions thanks to a heat exchanger that transfers energy from the incoming hot air to the outgoing air, reducing the thermal gap with the dehumidifier with lower costs for both cooling and heating.

With Aquatech brand, visitors will have the opportunity to discover Aryacool+ adiabatic drycooler, DigitempEvo water-cooled thermochiller and two models of the Easytherm water-cooled thermoregulators, one with an open system and the other pressurised.

Also on show will be the new industrial filtration system developed by Penta for transporting powdered material, characterised by a compact footprint and an innovative 4-sector cleaning system. In fact, the new filter, in its dedusting version, provides the possibility of installing the dedusting fan directly on top of the filter head, guaranteeing a reduction in overall dimensions or height, as well as lower pressure drop with greater suction efficiency and lower energy consumption.

Both of the Group's stands will also provide experience to a virtual system dedicated to PET and Blown Film, with the mission to offering a complete overview of the machines supplied by the Group thanks to virtual reality.

Die Besucher werden auch einige der Analyseinstrumente sehen können, darunter Moisture Minder, die Lösung für die Online-Messung der Feuchtigkeit in Kunststoffgranulaten, und Odor Minder, die von Piovan entwickelte elektronische Nase, die mit Easypure geliefert werden kann und eine sofortige Bewertung der Wirksamkeit des Geruchsentfernungsprozesses aus dem behandelten Granulat ermöglicht, um den Desodorierungsprozess besser zu kontrollieren.

At the Doteco stand - B11, hall 15, visitors will be able to discover Vento, the new automatic film cooling and gauge control system that enables high performance in terms of 2Sigma reduction and film uniformity.
On the gravimetric dosing side, Grado Adroit, the gain-in-weight “batch” blender with integrated extrusion control, also on display for the first time live in the 8 components’ configuration, equipped with Graviclean, the automatic cleaning system. Thanks to its extreme versatility, Grado Adroit is ideal for a wide range of applications.

Also present at the booth will be Blendo Adroit, the loss-in-weight gravimetric feeder indicated for extrusion processes where high accuracy and a homogeneous dispersion of additives are fundamental requirements.

Last, but not least Gravifeed, the gravimetric feeder specific for starve fed extruders, and Kalibro, the automatic layflat control system.
