Role
The Marketing Services Manager plans and coordinates marketing policies and programs. In addition, this role provides front line assistance to representatives, customers, and internal and international sales force in all areas of marketing communications. This position reports to the Vice President, Sales and Marketing and is located in Niles, Il.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services
- Perform various duties involving product marketing, market research, Internet-related marketing, and advertising
- Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of organizational objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors
- Direct and manage external resources, such as translators, contract illustrators, photographers, writers, agencies, and printing or electronic publication companies, in the production of marketing and technical documentation materials
- Compile lists describing product or service offerings
- Coordinate or participate market research studies or analyze their findings
- Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services
- Engages in marketing communication activity support, including advertisements, mailers, trade shows, training, public relations, photography, etc.
- Edits, writes, and produces marketing materials and press releases
- Monitor and manage the technical marketing budget including purchasing of printing or electronic publication services for all literature and end-user documentation
- Review all sales orders as a final check for order and commission accuracy
- Travel for trade shows, sales meetings, etc. as required (less than 20%)
