PiovanGroup is the world leader in the development and production of systems for the automation of production processes for the storage, transport and treatment of polymers, plastic and food powders.

Message from the President

Following the important acquisition of the Ipeg Group with its Conair, Thermal Care and Pelletron brands, the PiovanGroup has further consolidated its world leadership in systems for the automation of plastics processing.

With Penta, the Group is also present in the processing of food powders and creams, providing systems for the handling and processing of raw materials, with very important growth prospects.

In addition to the Plastics and Food sectors, we have experience in the treatment of process fluids, offering solutions for industrial refrigeration and thermoregulation.

Passion, tenacity and constant determination in pursuing the company philosophy have rewarded us, leading us to be a multinational organisation with 14 production plants and 40+ service and sales companies around the world, employing a total of more than 2,000 people.

Compared to 2018, the year of listing on the Star segment of the Italian Stock Exchange, the PiovanGroup has more than doubled its size, anticipating the business plan communicated at the time of listing. But what makes us proud more than anything else is that all this has been done consistently with our values.

FOUNDATION

Costante Piovan & Figli, a workshop specialized in precision mechanics, is founded in Padua.

1950s

INDUSTRIAL EVOLUTION

These are the years of consolidation and reorganisation from an industrial point of view. The company lays the foundations for a widespread commercial expansion in Europe.

1960s

THE AGE OF PLASTIC BEGINS

Luigi, Costante's son, leads Piovan in the sector of auxiliary technologies for plastic processing.

1970s

FROM MACHINE TO SYSTEM

From single units to complete systems with the introduction of the first line of chillers and the first centralised supply, metering and dehumidification system.

1980s

MARKET LEADERSHIP

Adoption of electronics, partnerships with leading OEMs, and further growth in foreign markets.

1990s

INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS FOR THE FUTURE

Innovation proceeds with the acquisition of a software house to develop remote plant supervision and control systems.

2000s

CUSTOMERS, PEOPLE, INNOVATION.

Nicola, Luigi's son, leads the transformation of the Group from a manufacturer of auxiliary technologies to a turnkey design company and puts Customers, People and Innovation at the centre of his strategy. The companies Una-Dyn and Fdm are acquired.

2010s

THE PIOVAN GROUP

The Group enters the food sector and consolidates its position in the plastics industry by acquiring Penta, Progema, Fea and Doteco. The continuous drive towards innovation allows the development of technologies dedicated to manufacturing with post-consumer plastics for a circular economy. Aquatech Srl starts its activity in the industrial refrigeration sector. The Group makes its debut on the STAR segment of the MTA (Mercato Telematico Azionario) of Italian stock market.

2020s

ESG FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH GROUP

The Group has always been inspired by the values underlying the ESG theme, which it implements with practices and strategies to have a positive impact on society and to communicate its sustainability policy both to its employees and to all the company's stakeholders. The Group formalises through ESG practices the conduct it has always practiced in line with its Values. In January 2023, PiovanGroup received the ESG Risk Rating issued by Sustainalytics, improving on the previous year's rating, and won the Industry Top Rated badge for the second year running.
